Waaay late, so I think I’m gonna try to finish it tomorrow instead.
Anyway yeah this is Zunshi, my Pandaren Shaman on WoW. Armoury: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/stormscale/Zunshi/simple
(r/Sketchdaily prompt: hobbies.)

I need to find something smaller and more interesting and quicker to paint because fffff big projects bore me really easily. Maybe because I have no idea what I’m doing and feel like it’ll look horrid in the end, I dunno.

I went flat colours -> lines -> render for this one, it worked out alright. Kept the proportions pretty well I think.
Random observation: if I do lines first, the bigger things [torso/arms/legs] tend to be out of proportion, but if I go flat colours and no lines the smaller things tend to be out of proportion. Not sure why. This seems to be a good compromise though.

Uuuh I wanted to keep it within one hour and so I did.
- I need to learn blending better (lowering the brush opacity would probably help urgh).
- I’m not good at lighting/light sources.
- Some shadows (namely under his mask) are too heavy.
- I kinda like the line quality on the lines around the eyes.
- I’m not fast enough for half-decent 1-hour speedpaints, so I need to either get faster or up it to 2 hours.
WoW character sketches and a Spiderman for r/SketchDaily.

Gaius Julius Caesar. Gonna finish this tomorrow hopefully.

Zaporozhian Cossack wearing a Sharovary. I really should read up on Eastern European cultures, it’s not very well known around here (Western Europe)!
