Portfolio reqs for my own reference

animwork:

SCAD (AS IF LOL):

NKF illustration:

doesn’t actually need a portfolio, they have auditions/application tests instead (tests from 2013: http://www.norgeskreativefagskole.no/Nyheter-og-events/Artikellist/Opptaksprover-illustrasjon-2012/)

NITH game design (not to self: 10k cheaper than nkf):

doesn’t actually need a portfolio either lol

DigiPen (Redmond/Singapore/Spain???):

https://www.digipen.edu/admissions/undergraduate-admissions/requirements-for-fall-2014/art-portfolio/

for game design: Game Design applicants may submit a combination of the following optional additional materials: copies of drawings and paintings, photographs of landscapes, or urban environments, printed versions of digital art, sketches of level designs, and copies of maps. These optional components must be original creations solely of the applicant.

UWE Bristol:

I guess I need to apply through UCAS first? I don’t like the UK Uni application system at all, man.

Uni of Plymouth:

AUB:

SDSU (these guys have minors in linguistics, Japanese, psychology and Chinese as well):

Uhm they don’t need a portfolio either I guess?

Ringling College of Art and Design:

too expensive for me but http://www.ringling.edu/admissions-financial-aid/admissions/portfolio-prep-pages/portfolio-prep/?nomobileredirect=http%3A%2Fidn is a neat page.

& in addition to the above there are La Trobe, Bond Uni and , which all have game design courses but nothing for art (as far as I can see??).

fuck I think I might have to do an online course in precalculus if I’m ever gonna do Game Design

Also I should probably figure out what the stuff I want to do is called, because right now I’m looking at things like Illustration, Digital Arts, Sequential Art/Graphical Storytelling, Character Animation, Fine Art, Game Design (which apparently includes art at DigiPen but not at UWE Bristol), Visual Arts (which I just learnt is apparently art history, oops) and whatnot.

Also FUCK YEAH I CAN DO A BA/BFA AT UNSW. YESSSSSSS. NOTE TO SELF: http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/programs/2013/4812.html [Japanese, Korean, LINGUISTICS, Chinese, criminology, history] THIS BETTER BE AFFORDABLE AND AVAILABLE TO ME AS AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT HOLY SHIT

EDIT: MCAD is a pretty cool place, need to look into international stuff/financial aid because expensive.
