Guess what game I got yesterday. c: I’ve been waiting for this game for two years, not counting the time I wished for a sequel to the original.
Herpderp, tried to somewhat mimic the original artwork of Chibiterasu. It took me three times the time it should have, due to the ridiculous thinness and … Accuracy of the lines. Lines like that can look damn good if you do it right (i.e. official Okamiden artwork), but ugh. I don’t have the patience to even bother with more than a headshot. Also, I like having more detail, and to be able to sketch in random shadows and stuff.
In conclusion, sketchy lines = far more fun, less time-consuming, and personally I think it looks better. Most people don’t like the sketchy look, though, but since when has art been anything other than subjective?
